In a rush of excitement at the end of the finish schedule, I put the horse before the cart. After bringing the Stoudt Englishman to the Apartment, I remembered the one thing I should have thought about 3 weeks ago: hardware. Oops.
So, we are currently opening the drawers with little pieces of blue tape, pretty classy. And then yesterday, a little manilla envelope came to our house with this:
Mmmmm…Black Oiled Label Holder Pulls, straight out of Spokane, WA. Hopefully these will be on post haste, and then I will have real shots. But in the meantime, here are a few shots of the Englishman as it appears now:
Weird framing, sorry!
Oh yes, and this…Not only was I a bonehead about hardware, but there is currently no place for all of the cables to go. With no hole to feed through, it’s kind of an unorganized mess of wire. I guess that this is what prototypes are for, hunting out the imps of practicality. But there is a shot of the adjustable shelf with the threaded rod and shelf pin holes, the latter of which I made a jig for. Go Jigs!
Once those pulls are put on, it’s real photo time, so hopefully a post will be up here in a few days with all of the Crafted prototypes looking glorious.
Until then, stay classy.
Cheers,
Shaun M. Baer
