Design Milk had a post on San Luis Obispo, CA woodworking/home design duo Craft SLO who puts out some interesting pieces. There is a consistent mix of materials, natural wood, and paint through all of their work, and their choice in species is pretty bold. Plus they have a Maloof quote on their front page. Good job, dudes!

CRAFTED is a woodworking outfit, a custom fabrication department, an idea machine, and many other elements rolled into one ever changing mechanism: CRAFTED is a 12 sided die.

CRAFTED is Shaun M. Baer, a restless soul with a BFA who just likes to make things, CRAFTED is a Philadelphia based outlet for anyone looking to have a custom item created for them. It’s equal parts woodworking, problem-solving, fabricating, and designing, and getting things done.

While the output may vary, attention to detail, material, design, and craft are constant standards. From re-purposed materials to sustainably harvested hardwoods, I make every item with a commitment to quality.
